The identification label issued by the independant MLC Grader at the MLC Grading Station contains the following
information as shown on the sample photograph below:-
- Farmer/Farm - W Angus
- Ear Tag Number - AB1561 00354
- Weight and Grade - 143kg (Side) and R4L C
- C after grade indicates steer. (The letter A on the label would indicate a bull and E would indicate a heifer.)
- Carcase Number - 000327
EC Approved Number - SPM Ltd UK 1121 EC - (The figure 21 underneath the ear tag number indicates the lot number provided to the Grader by the Lairage Manager.)
- Date and Time of Grading - 21 Sep 99 (12.43)
- Bar Code (Which contains all the tags information detailed above.)
