New Bull Sale On Calendar At Thainstone

A new multi-breed show and sale of bulls and pedigree cattle will be held at Thainstone Centre on May 4.

This new event will include entries from Charolais, Limousin, Simmental and Aberdeen Angus breeds with a new British Blue section, held under the auspices the British Blue Society.

With sponsorship from Ardene House, veterinary practice, Kingswells, Aberdeen, the event follows on from the success of the Spring Show bull sale and will offer North east breeders a local sale of quality bulls.

The event has been scheduled to take place on the same day as the East Coast Viners supported show and sale of commercial beef breeding cattle.

Alan Hutcheon, Aberdeen & Northern Marts’ deputy general manager said: “This sale has, like our sale in September, been created in response to the requests of North east breeders to have stronger pedigree sales in the region.  By holding the sale on the sale day as the beef breeding cattle sale, we hope for a good attendance of buyers.”

Entries are currently being accepted and anyone who requires further information or wishes to make an entry should call Alan Hutcheon on 07801 186304.  The opportunity to display photos of entries on the ANM Group website www.goanm.co.uk is also available.
