Top Award For Highland Country Foods
Highland County Foods, based in Forres, secured a gold award at the recent Grampian Food Forum Awards for their sliced pork, sage and onion stuffing.
The firm, part of ANM Group, developed the stuffing in a sliced form, making it ideal for sandwiches and judges at the awards agreed, awarding it the top prize in the food service category.
Jennifer Graham, manager at Highland Country Foods, commented: “The stuffing was designed specifically for the sandwich industry and comes ready to slice into square pieces, ideal for sandwiches. Our research showed that sandwich makers felt many fillings failed to fill the bread completely and we developed this product to overcome these shortcomings.
“The response from our customers has been great and this award is a great boost for all our staff.”
