FOODSERVICE AWARD FOR FORRES COMPANY
A Forres food production company successfully fought off tough competition at the 18th annual Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards
to scoop a top industry award.
Highland Country Foods – a member of the ANM Group Ltd – was awarded the Scottish Enterprise Grampian Award, which recognizes new
innovative food service products, at a presentation dinner at Inverurie’s Thainstone EXCHANGE on Wednesday night.
The company also received a cash prize of £1,000 and a specially engraved trophy for its 2007-launched sandwich product – sliced
pork, sage and onion stuffing. Also entered by the company were two other new products, Highland herb ham and winter spiced beef
Jennifer Graham, plant manager at Highland Country Foods said she was delighted with the accolade.
“Everyone at Highland Country Foods is over the moon with the award. It means the world to the company and to the staff who have
worked so hard to produce such top-quality products, she explained.
“Launched in 2007 our new lines have really taken off and to have such a prestigious industry seal of approval is just
fantastic.”
ANM Group chief executive Brian Pack added: “I am absolutely thrilled that Highland Country Foods has been recognised by the
industry in such a way. This innovative foodservice award is testimony to the hard work and forward-thinking approach of the company
and is a real boost for all the staff. Well done.”
The annual Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards recognise and reward local food and drink companies for their new product
