A unique bronze figure by a 19th Century French sculptor will be one of the notable items on sale during a forthcoming Thainstone Specialist Auction event later this month (TSA).
The bronze figurine, Hound with Pheasant, signed by Paul Edouard Delebrierre (1829-1912) - a member of The Animalier School, Paris - will be for sale by auction at an antique & collectable sale on Wednesday, November 21.
To be held in the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, the sale will feature a number of notable pieces including the Hound with Pheasant which is valued between £800 - £1200 and measures 12.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
Another item expected to attract a lot of interest on the day is a Victorian golden oak boardroom/dining room table complete with a set of Victorian oak framed chairs boasting scallop-shaped backs
Looking ahead to the forthcoming sale Thainstone Specialist Auctions auctioneer Scott Naismith said: “There are more than 600 lots lined up for the sale, which is already attracting a lot of interest from potential buyers. We are particularly pleased to be able to showcase the bronze figurine and the beautiful Victorian table and chair set.”
Also taking place on the day will be the sale of a collection of football programmes and memorabilia, mainly featuring
programmes of Aberdeen FC games but also including a few items relating to Scotland's adventures in the international game.
The Thainstone Centre will be open on Tuesday, November 20, between 4-8pm for viewing and those who can’t make the sale are invited to make a commission bid.
