6th September 2006 - 800 lots for September antiques sale

A ventriloquist’s dummy, a revolving bookcase, a vintage mole trap and a ship’s bell are just some of the items that will go under the hammer at Thainstone Specialist Auctions’ forthcoming sale of antiques and collectables on Wednesday, September 13th.

Around 800 lots will go under the hammer at Thainstone EXCHANGE, Thainstone Centre, Inverurie from 1pm, beginning with a selection of large furniture that will include six Queen Anne chairs, four regency chairs, a large oak throne and a mahogany chiffoniere.

The collectables section of the auction will include a range of memorabilia such as a World War Two service medal, vintage joiner’s equipment and hip flasks while the china and porcelain section will feature many well known names such as Royal Doulton, Carling, Beswick and Wedgewood.

Viewing takes place between 5pm and 8pm on Tuesday, September 12th and from 9am on the day of the sale. Catalogues will be available during the viewing times, or can be obtained from www.goanm.co.uk
