20th June 2006 - Nationwide interest in 1,000 lots of antiques and collectables

The latest sale of antiques and collectables held by Thainstone Specialist Auctions again attracted nationwide interest.

Buyers from as far afield as Wales, England and Shetland were present at Thainstone EXCHANGE on Wednesday, June 14th as around 1,000 diverse lots were sold.

The top price of the day was £1,050 which was paid for a grandfather clock while a three-piece mahogany bedroom suite and painting by William Robbie each fetched £550. In addition were a

Royal Doulton jardinière which made £480 and an oak dining table which sold for £400.

Commenting on the event, Zandra Black of Thainstone Specialist Auctions said: "We did wonder if the World Cup may have an affect on attendance at the event, but buyers came along in their droves proving that our regular antiques sales are an important date on the calendar for a lot of people."

6th June 2006 - 1,000 lots for antiques sale

Around 1,000 lots of antiques, good quality furniture and collectables will be on offer at Thainstone EXCHANGE, Thainstone Centre, Inverurie next Wednesday (June 14th).

The event is being staged by Thainstone Specialist Auctions and will feature lots to suit all tastes and budgets, ranging from pieces of furniture in Regency, Edwardian and Victorian styles to porcelain by the likes of Beswick, Spode, Denby and Wedgewood.

Commenting on the sale, Zandra Black of Thainstone Specialist Auctions said: "Our regular antique sales always attract a huge amount of interest from the public, and this forthcoming event will be no exception."

Catalogues are available online at www.goanm.co.uk/tsa or can be obtained during viewing sessions on Tuesday, June 13th between 5pm and 8pm and from 9am on the day of the sale. The sale itself will take place from 1pm on Wednesday, June 14th.
