31st July 2006 - 200 Lots for annual sale of Border Fine Arts

Around 200 lots will be offered for sale at Thainstone Specialist Auctions’ seventh annual sale of Border Fine Arts next month.

The event on Saturday, August 19th will include an extensive range of pieces depicting wildlife, nostalgic scenes and various aspects of farming and rural life, such as Foxhound By Hayton (050), Roe Buck (007), Border Terrier and Vixen (L35), Long Tailed Field Mouse and Family (L13), Mule Ewe and Lambs (EG03), Market Day (JH27), English Setter (051) and a limited edition of an Aberdeen Angus bull (L59), of which just 500 were created.

Commenting on the event, Zandra Black of Thainstone Specialist Auctions said: “This annual sale is a very popular fixture on our calendar and regularly attracts large amounts of interest from a wide area.

“There is no doubt that the appeal of the auction is enhanced thanks to the use of the remote bidding system eBid @ live auction which allows people to take part in the sale from the convenience of any home or office computer.”

Viewing for the sale of Border Fine Arts takes place from 9am on Saturday, August 19th with the auction to commence at 11am.
