Plans forge ahead for Christmas Carcase Show

Some of the North east’s best beef, lamb and pork will be to the fore during the 2005 Scotch Premier Meat Ltd Christmas Carcase Show in December.

The annual event, which this year takes place on Monday, December 5, is likely to attract some of the country’s top butchers and many will stay on to enjoy the Aberdeen Christmas Classic at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie on Monday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 6.

This year’s show will be judged by award-winning Stornoway butcher Charles Macleod and Rodney Macken of Macken Brothers, Chiswick, London. It will open to the public at 1.30pm on Monday, December 5.

Commenting on preparations for the 2005 Show, Scotch Premier Meat Ltd managing director Raymond Wight said: “The Christmas Carcase Show is now firmly established as one of the top events of its kind in the country and we look forward to welcoming both exhibitors and buyers in December.”
