Terms & Conditions of Sale
By placing a bid (online or offline) at any auction sale conducted by
an ANM subsidiary you are agreeing to the terms & conditions referred
to below. If you are bidding at a sale held by ANM's Thainstone Specialist
Auctions division the applicable conditions are the current terms and
conditions of Thainstone Specialist Auctions. If bidding for goods at
a sale by Aberdeen and Northern Marts the applicable conditions are the
current terms and conditions of Aberdeen and Northern Marts. The division
conducting the sale will be clearly stated on the catalogue and any other
pages relating to the sale. If you are not sure which set of terms and
conditions are applicable to the sale you are interested in, please email
us or call +44 (0) 1467 623700 for information. ANM reserve the right
to alter these terms and conditions. Please ensure you have the current
version, which will always be published here and will include the date
the changes were made.

Our privacy policy will explain the type of information collected from this website, including how we may use this information and who has access to it. If you have any queries regarding this policy or our other terms and conditions please contact legal@goanm.co.uk
Information Collected
The information you provide when registering or submitting one of our
forms is collected by our database or emailed to an administrator when
your message requires a response. The type of information collected will
be your name and contact information, plus further details on your interests
and nature of enquiry. If you register to use our online auction service
as a private customer we will also ask for your credit card details. Information
such as IP addresses and browser types are logged by our host web server
but are not linked to personally identifiable information. Part of our
website uses cookies. These are only used to identify you when you register
or log in to our online auction site, and only last as long as your stay
on the site.
Use and Disclosure of Information Collected
The information you provide about yourself is collected by a central database
which is shared with all ANM Group companies.
We may use this information to:
- Contact you when necessary
- Send you information you have requested
- Send you information about our services/companies we think will be of interest to you.
- Send you relevant promotional information
- Inform you of email services available (such as newsletters related to your specified interest group) or changes to our website
- Collect payment due/ Settle Accounts
Your credit card details are sent securely using the latest encryption technology (48 to 128 bit encryption) and are encrypted in our database, providing secure storage. This ensures that credit card details cannot be accessed by unauthorised parties.
Your Choice - 'Opt out'
You are always given the choice of receiving marketing communications.
If you tell us that you don't want to hear from us with future marketing
communications or updates on our services/companies (please note that
we will base our communications on the information you have provided so
we can ensure that you are receiving relevant information) then we will
respect your wish.
When you complete a form and check the 'opt out' box your details will not be collected by our database, but simply emailed to the relevant ANM contact who will assist you with your enquiry. Should your details be held on our database already, checking this box will ensure they are removed.
The information we request during the online auction registration process (with the exception of demographic information) is necessary in order to provide you with an account to bid online.
Removing your details or 'Unsubscribing'
If you are receiving information by email from ANM companies and you would
prefer not to, please let us know and we will delete your personal information
from our database. You can do this by one of two ways 1) by completing
any form on our website (other than those used on our online auction section)
ensuring you tick the 'opt out' box at the bottom of the form 2) by sending
an email to unsubscribe@goanm.co.uk.
If you wish to unsubscribe to one service but continue to receive information
regarding another service, for example you would like to continue hearing
from our property division, but don't wish to receive news of our 'house
and garden' auctions, please send an email to webdev@goanm.co.uk clearly stating
your specific interest/request and we will update our database.
