Technical Standards

All the while we develop and launch new products for our customers, our technical team are behind the scenes ensuring that our excellent standards are maintained and procedures adhered to.  

Under the careful guidance of Technical Manager, Linda Crawford our team rigorously and continuously strive to meet the criteria of the Higher Level technical standard set out by the British Retail Consortium (BRC).

Our Higher Level BRC accreditation demonstrates our commitment to being part of a better British food industry.  This is our guarantee to customers that any products made on and dispatched from our site, have been handled safely and efficiently with attention to detail, care and commitment to quality. 

All staff on site, regardless of nationality, have gained basic food hygiene qualifications in a range of languages including Polish and Portuguese under the supervision of Marilyn Paterson, the Group Training Manager.

Organic Development

In early 2007 CHARCUTERIE was granted accreditation by the Scottish Organic Producers and Growers Association to produce a range of Organic Cooked Meat products. So far we have perfected our Rare Cooked Organic Topside of Beef which has generated much interest.

We are licensed to produce Organic Cooked Meats from any whole muscle. We plan to extend our range to include Organic Roast Pork, Organic Ham roasted with Scottish Heather Honey and Organic Roast Lamb. All products will be available either pre-sliced or in whole joints ideal for carvery.
