Thainstone is also the centre for shows and sales of pedigree beef bulls in February, April and December and hosts several major livestock events during the year, including:
- Royal Northern Spring Show in February
- Young Farmers' Show and Sale of overwintered beef cattle in April
- September Spectacular show and sale of suckled calves and store cattle suitable for further showing in September
- The Aberdeen Christmas Classic, which incorporates a Christmas Prime Stock Show and shows and sales of pedigree cattle and sheep, in December.
