Special Events

Thainstone is also the centre for shows and sales of pedigree beef bulls in February, April and December and hosts several major livestock events during the year, including:

• Royal Northern Spring Show in February
• Young Farmers' Show and Sale of overwintered beef cattle in April
• September Spectacular show and sale of suckled calves and store cattle suitable for further showing in September
• The Aberdeen Christmas Classic, which incorporates a Christmas Prime Stock Show and shows and sales of pedigree cattle and sheep, in December.

SPECIAL EVENTS - 2008

2008 Royal Northern Spring Show The Royal Northern Spring Show took place on Wednesday the 27th of February.       The Annual Young Farmers Overwintered Cattle Competition took place in March of this year.

2008 September Spectacular   This event will take place on Wednesday 3rd September 2008.

2008 Aberdeen Christmas Classic   This event will take place on Monday 1st - Tuesday 2nd December 2008.
