THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (21st January) 93 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (28) averaged 168.6p (+2.1p) and sold to 178p per kg for a 575kg Limousin from Sprottyneuk, New Deer, and purchased by A Ingram, Drumblade, and £1,322.40 gross for a 760kg Charolais from Sunhoney, Echt.
Prime heifers (42) averaged 165.4p (-0.1p) and sold to 184p per kg for a 525kg Limousin from Hillocks, Whiterashes, and purchased by A Ingram, and £1,174.55 gross for a 695kg Simmental from Deskie Farm, Glenlivet.
Young bulls (two) averaged 154p (no comp) and sold to 161p per kg for a 695kg Limousin, and £1,378.25 gross for a 925kg Charolais from Mains of Elrick, Auchnagatt, and purchased by R Smith, Aberdeen.
30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (seven) averaged 146.9p (+10.6p) and sold to 160p per kg and £1,240 gross for a 775kg Limousin from Cullaird Farm, Scaniport.
Heifers (14) averaged 153.1p (-5.1p) and sold to 167p per kg for a 700kg Charolais from Gunhill Farm, Pitcaple, and £1,216 gross for a 760kg Charolais from Clifftop, Pennan.

SQQ up to 45.5kg (1238) averaged 192.5p per kg (+4.0p).
