THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (7th January) 37 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (11) averaged 172.6p
(no comp) and sold to 181p per kg for a 570kg Limousin from Caskieben,
Kinellar and purchased by A Ingram, Drumblade, and £1,309 gross
for a 770kg Limousin from Leys Hotel, Kinellar.
Prime heifers (19) averaged 170.4p (no comp) and sold
to 183p per kg for a 575kg Limousin from Caskieben, and £1,225.25
gross for a 725kg Charolais from Tillyorn, Corse.
30 to 48 Month - Heifers (seven) averaged 157.5p (no comp) and sold to 162p per kg for a 655kg Charolais and £1,162.70 gross for a 755kg Charolais from Mill of Buckie, Buckie.
