RARE BREED SALE - REPORT
TTHAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (1st May 2010)
Rare Breed sale had forward 36 horses and ponies, 25 cattle, 26 pigs, 10 goats, 149 sheep, 801 cages of poultry, 450 lots of hatching eggs, 423 lots of tack, 212 lots from a bygone era and items of poultry equipment.
Leading prices:
Horses & Ponies: ID Filly - 1,400gn; Coloured Mare - 1,350gn; Reg Shetland Mare - 450gn.
Cattle: Longhorn hfr - 610gn; Highland bull - 440gn; Highland cow with heifer calf at foot - 410gn.
Pigs: Tam, sow - 100gn; Gos, female - 80gn; Kune, sow - 80gn.
Goats: Golden Guernsey, Female - 100gn; Toggenburg, Female - 60gn.
Sheep - Ewes and lambs: Dorset - 110gn; Herd - 85gn- Rye - 80gn. Ewe lambs: Dorper - 100gn
Gimmer: Jacob - 80gn. Ewe: Rye - 70gn.
