THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (4th March) 66 prime cattle
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (27) averaged 156.9p (-1.1p) and sold to 168p per kg for a 590kg British Blue from Forsie, Bridge of Westfield, Thurso and £1,270.20 gross for a 870kg Charolais from Corfeidly, Glassel.
Prime heifers (39) averaged 156.7p (-1.8p) and sold to 178p per kg for a 560kg British Blue from Whiteside, Tullynessle to A. Ingram, Drumblade and £1,162.80 gross for a 680kg Limousin from Hillocks, Whiterashes to Woodhead Brothers, Turriff.
Young bulls (three) averaged 142p (-2.9p) and sold to 147p per kg for a 750kg Simmental from Drumsleed, Fordoun and £1,218 gross for a 870kg Charolais from Harestone, Crathes.
30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (11) averaged 139.1 p (-7.4p) and sold to 153p per kg for a 750kg Charolais from Clochnahill, Stonehaven and £1,351.35 gross for a 945kg Charolais from Raefin, Keith.
Heifers (10) averaged 140.6p (-4.3p) and sold to 154p per kg for a 650kg Charolais from Jacobshall, Gamrie and £1,071.60 gross for a 705kg Limousin from Oldmaud, Maud.
