PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (24th June) 76 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (24) averaged 163.8p (+3.3p) and sold to 176p per kg for a 625kg Simmental from Caskieben, Kinellar, and purchased by Woodhead Brothers, Turriff, and £1,245.75 gross for a 755kg Limousin also from Caskieben.
Prime heifers (39) averaged 166.9p (-2.6p) and sold to 182p per kg for a 530kg Limousin from Darnabo, Fyvie, and purchased by West End Butchers, Peterhead, and £1,153.70 gross for a 605kg Charolais from Darnabo, and purchased by Woodhead Brothers.
30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (five) averaged 132.3p (-7.8p) and sold to 147p per kg for a 630kg Limousin from Faichfolds, King Edward, and £972.80 gross for a 760kg Charolais from Howe of Rora, Longside.
Heifers (eight) averaged 137.1p (-5.4p) and sold to 146p per kg for a 695kg Charolais and £1,064 gross for a 760kg Charolais from Gunhill Farm, Pitcaple.
