STORE CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (18th June) sold 267 store cattle and 12 young calves.
Bullocks (130) averaged 179.5p (-4.8p) and sold to 237.7p per kg for 204kg Limousin crosses from Burnside of Cairnton, Fortrie and £1,090 gross for a 644kg Charolais from Mill of Newton, Insch.
Heifers (100) averaged 167p (-2.1p) and sold to 193p per kg for a pen of 342kg Charolais crosses from Pittenkerrie, Glassel and £885 gross for a 558kg Charolais from South Dens, Blackhills.
Bulls (37) averaged 151p (-2.5p) and sold to 225.9p per kg for a pair of 166kg Charolais crosses from Little Millbrex, Fyvie and £695 gross for a pen of 506kg Luings from Cairntack, Belhelvie.
Young calves (12) sold to £370 gross.
"A lesser show for quality was forward".

Store lambs (207) to £77.50 for Suffolks from Nether Muirskie, Maryculter.
Feeding ewes (369) averaged £65.57 (+£0.85) to £129 for Texels from Sunnybrae Lodge, Peterhead.
