STORE CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (30th July) sold store cattle and young calves.
Bullocks averaged 154.8p and sold to 172.1p per kg for a pen of 276kg Limousins from Pittenkerrie, Glassel and £720 gross for a 420kg Limousin from Drumbain, Rothes.
Heifers averaged 155.8p and sold to 168.1p per kg for a pair of 342kg Limousins fronm Drumbain and £640 gross for a 452kg Charolais from Haymount, Finstown.
Bulls averaged 119.9p and sold to 142.9p per kg and £840 gross for a pair of 588kg Simmental from Tombreckachie, Glenlivet.
Young calves averaged £306 and sold to £480 gross.

STORE, BREEDING and FEEDING SHEEP - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (30th July) sold 752 store lambs and feeding sheep.
New season store lambs (344) to £76 for Texels from St Johns Wells, Fyvie.
Feeding ewes (408) averaged £67.53 (+ 66p) to £127 for Suffolks from Mid Mains of Balfour, Fettercarin and Texels from Balladrum, Durris.
"Store lambs sold to a sound trade and were short of buyers requirements. A lighter show of feeding ewes and hoggs were dearer on the week".
