STORE CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (23rd July) sold 159 store cattle and 12 young calves.
Bullocks (78) averaged 167.6p and sold to 221.6p per kg for 352kg Limousin cross from Heads of Auchinderran, Keith and £980 gross for a 570kg Limousin cross from Burnside, Tankerness.
Heifers (38) averaged 160p and sold to 188.4p per kg for a pair of 276kg Limousins from Heads of Auchinderran and £785 gross for a 504kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Bellwander, Cammachmore.
Bulls (43) averaged 112.3p and sold to 182p per kg for a 250kg Limousin cross from Pittenkerrie, Glassel and £570 gross for a 350kg Simmental cross from Blackhills, Farm, Longhaven.
Young calves (12) averaged £300 and sold to £360 gross.

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (23rd July) sold 416 store lambs and feeding sheep.
New season store lambs (83) to £77 for Suffolks from Upper Auchnagorth, New Pitsligo.
Feeding ewes (333) averaged £67.19 (+£8.17) to £110 for Texels from Milton of Noth, Rhynie.
"Store lambs were very keenly bid for and many more could have been sold to advantage. Feeding ewes were a good show and slightly dearer".
