PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (15th July 2010) 75 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (34) averaged 153.3p (- 7p) and sold to 170p per kg for a 580kg Limousin from Whiteside, Tullynessle and £1,221.80 gross for a 820kg Limousin from Whiteknowes, Craigievar.
Prime heifers (28) averaged 154.8p (- 5.6p) and sold to 178p per kg for a 575kg Limousin from Whiteknowes and £1,030.40 gross for a 640kg Charolais from Deskie, Glenlivet to Woodhead Brothers, Turriff.
Young bulls (one) sold to 94p per kg and £789.60 gross for a Charolais from Deskie to C Anderson.
30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (four) averaged 141.6p (+ 5.2p) and sold to 150p per kg for a 615kg Limousin from Davo Mains, Laurencekirk and £979.20 gross for a 680kg Limousin from Hillside, Fetternear.
Heifers (eight) averaged 132.1p (- 5.7p) and sold to 146p per kg for a 625kg Limousin from Easterside, Stonehaven and £944.70 gross for a 705kg Charolais from Clashendamer, Fordyce.

Dairy cows (seven) averaged 86.8p and sold to 95.4p per kg and £725 gross for a 760kg from Backhill of Seggat, Auchterless.
Farrow bulls (nine) averaged 80.7p (-7.1p) and sold to 90.9p per kg for a 1,150kg Charolais from Ordhill, Tarves and £1,055 gross for a 1,250kg Charolais from Home Farm of Auchry, Cuminestown.

New season SQQ up to 45.5kg (187) averaged 159p per kg (-3.6p).
