PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (25th February) 33 prime cattle.

Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (five) averaged 158p (+1.8p) and sold to 163p per kg for a 630kg Limousin from Tillyorn, Corse, and purchased by Dunbia, Elgin, and £1,271.40 gross for a 815kg Limousin from Tillyorn.
Prime heifers (20) averaged 158.5p (-2.7p) and sold to 170p per kg for a 545kg Limousin from Corfeidly, Glassel, and purchased by Bruce of the Broch, Fraserburgh, and  £1,049.40 gross for a 660kg Charolais from Wester Beltie, Torphins, and purchased by Dunbia.
Young bulls (three) averaged 144.9p (-10.4p) and sold to 159p per kg for a 690kg Charolais, and £1,380 gross for a 1,000kg Aberdeen-Angus from Muirends Croft, Munlochy.

30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (two) averaged 146.5p (+3.8p) and sold to 147p per kg for a 650kg Charolais from Stonequoy, Lyness, and £1,051.20 gross for a 720kg Charolais from Bogengarrie, Ardallie.
Heifers (three) averaged 144.9p (nc) and sold to 148p per kg for a 620kg Simmental from Dunn Farm, Watten, and  £979.55 gross for a 715kg Simmental from Bogengarrie.

OTM CATTLE - FULL REPORT

Beef cows (75) averaged 112.1p (-1.0p) and sold to 145.4p per kg for a 650kg Simmental from, Millburn, Harray  and £1,045 gross for a 815kg British Blonde from Tillydesk, Ellon. 
Dairy cows (four) averaged 89p (-8.9p) and sold to 93.2p per kg for 735kg Friesian and £715 gross for a 785kg Friesian from Cleat, St Ola. 
Farrow bulls (two) averaged 105.3p (+3.7p) and sold to 120.5p per kg and £1,205 gross for a 1,000kg Simmental from Tillydesk, Ellon.

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (25th February) sold 700 prime sheep.

Old season lambs (700) averaged 184.6p per kg (-0.9p) and sold to 207.3p per kg for 41kg Texels from Hillbrae Farm, Newmachar and £90 gross for 45kg Texels from Knockenbaird Croft, Insch and 46kg Texels from Bridgefoot, Kemnay.
SQQ up to 45.5kg (350) averaged 192.7p per kg (+4.4p).
