PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (26th August) 112 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (34) averaged 161p (+5.4p) and sold to 174p per kg for a 625kg Limousin from Whiteknowes, Craigievar and purchased by Woodhead Brothers, Turriff, and £1,312.20 gross for a 810kg Blonde d’Aquitaine from Lower Affleck, Whiterashes.
Prime heifers (54) averaged 158.8p (+2.9p) and sold to 182p per kg for a 565kg Limousin from Auchmaliddie Mains, Maud, and purchased by West End Butchers, Peterhead, and £1,112.20 gross for a 670kg Charolais from Caskieben, Kinellar, and purchased by Woodhead Brothers.
Young bulls (nine) averaged 149.8p and sold to 159p per kg for a 580kg Limousin from Whiteknowes and £1,110.05 gross for a 745kg Simmental from Lower Wanford, Banff.
30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (four) averaged 155.9p and sold to 158p per kg for a 680kg Limousin and £1,209 gross for a 775kg Limousin from Gateside, Udny.
Heifers (11) averaged 147.7p and sold to 165p per kg for a 590kg Limousin and £1,042.80 gross for a 660 Blonde d’Aquitaine from Clashdamer, Fordyce.

New season SQQ up to 45.5kg (554) averaged 166.4p per kg (+6.9p).
