PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (25th June) sold 68 prime cattle.

Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (26) averaged 169.7p (-1.3p) and sold to 189p per kg for a 615kg British Blue from Auchmaliddie Mains, Maud and £1,326.65 gross for a 785kg Simmental from Biffie, Old Deer.
Prime heifers (35) averaged 165.1p (-5.9p) and sold to 191p per kg  for a 505kg Limousin from Auchmaliddie Mains and  £1,039.35 gross for a 615kg Limousin from Monlettie, Methlick.
Young bulls (four) averaged 131.7p and sold to 148p per kg and £1,050.80 gross for a 710kg Limousin from Auchtydonald, Longside.

30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (two) averaged 134.3p and sold to 141p per kg and £1,099.80 gross for a 780kg Simmental from Greenbrae, Auchterless.
Heifers (one) sold to 129p per kg and £883.65 gross for a 685kg Simmental from Greenbrae.

PRIME SHEEP - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (25th June) sold 254 prime lambs, hoggets and feeding sheep.

New season lambs averaged 150p per kg (-9p) and sold to 162.2p per kg for 41kg Texels from Home Farm, Keith-Hall and £75 gross for 48kg Suffolks from Old Voy, Toab.
Old season lambs averaged 85p per kg and sold to 103.8p per kg and £54 gross for 52kg Texels from Knockenbaird Croft, Insch.
New season SQQ up to 45.5kg (87) averaged 153.3p per kg.
Feeding ewes averaged £54.50 (+£3.94) to £86.50 gross for Texels from Dale, Stronsay.
