STORE CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (19th June) sold 179 store cattle and two young calves
Bullocks (92) averaged 173p (+1.9p) to 236p per kg for a 197kg Limousin cross from Skares, Foundland and £930 gross for a pair of 586kg Aberdeen Angus from Appiehouse, Stenness.
Heifers (63) averaged 167p (-2.0p) to 183.1p per kg for 172kg Limousin crosses from Skares and £1030 gross for a 600kg Charolais from Bay, Stronsay.
Bulls (24) averaged 144p (+8.4p) to 252p per kg for 216kg British Blue from Backmuir, Keith and £880 gross for a pair of 628kg Aberdeen Angus from Glenbuchat Estates.
Young calves (two) and sold to £310 gross.

Ewes and lambs (102) to £59 for Contintenal gimmers with doubles from Wreaton, Aboyne.
Feeding ewes (513) averaged £50.56 (-£4.86) to £99.50 for Suffolks from Knowe, Sanday.
