STORE CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (3rd June) sold 343 store cattle and nine young calves
Bullocks (170) averaged 169.6p (-3.4p) to 255.9p per kg for a 170kg Simmental cross from Skares, Foundland and £1095 gross for a 656kg Charolais from East Lediken, Insch.
Heifers (154) averaged 169p (+1p) to 209.1p per kg for a 220 kg British Blue cross from Culdrain Lodge, Gartly and £920 gross for a 540kg Limousin cross from Little Muddy, Lumphart, Inverurie.
Bulls (20) averaged 153.3p (+9.3p) to 185.7p per kg for 280kg Limousin from Whitelums, Keithhall and £1000 gross for a 735kg Charolais from Kinclune, Glenkindie
Young calves (nine) averaged £157.20 and sold to £240 gross.
