THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (15th January) 107 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (39) averaged 157.3p (-8.2p) and sold to 188p per kg for a 650kg Limousin from Auchmaliddie Mains, Maud, and £1,320.20 gross for a 820kg Charolais from Tillyorn, Corse and purchased by C Anderson, Dumfries.
Prime heifers (40) averaged 156.3p (-5.0p) and sold to 185p per kg for a 460kg Limousin from Auchmaliddie Mains and £1,179.90 gross for a 690kg Aberdeen-Angus from Whitehouse Farm, Lumphanan.
Young bull (one) averaged 100p and sold to 100p per kg and £625 gross for a 625kg from Wester Silvervord, Gamrie.
30 to 48 Month - Bullocks (13) averaged 137.9p (-7.6p) and sold to 156p per kg for a 580kg and 610kg Limousin from Ardmedden, Oldmeldrum, and £987 gross for a 700kg Charolais from East Banteith, Dunecht and purchased by C Anderson.
Heifers (14) averaged 139p (-11.6p) and sold 159p per kg and £1,208.40 gross for a 760kg Limousin from Greenhill, Tullynessle.
