THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (13th February) sold 890 store cattle.

Bullocks (434) averaged 179.4p (+5.2p) to 238.2p per kg for a pair of 212kg Limousin and Charolais crosses from Corskellie Farms  and £1115 gross for a pair of 606kg Limousin crosses from Farmton, Tough.
Heifers (438) averaged 172.6p (+5.4p) to 233.3p per kg for 225kg Charolais crosses from Haygreen, Cunningsburgh and £1100 gross for a 614kg Charolais from Westerton, Echt.
Bulls (18) averaged 149.8p (-5.2p) to 168p per kg for 253kg Simmental crosses from Overhall, Fyvie and £1140 gross for a 704kg Limousin from Uppermill Farms, Kintore.
