THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (30th April) 95 prime cattle.
Under 30 Month - Prime bullocks (47) averaged 167p (+7p) and sold to 190p per kg for a 730kg Limousin from Honeyneuk Farm, Maud, and £1453.50 gross for a 855kg Limousin from Whiteknowes, Craigievar and purchased by C Anderson, Dumfries.
Prime heifers (35) averaged 167p (+3p) and sold to 189p per kg for a 535kg Limousin from Honeyneuk Farm, and £1,230.80 gross for a 680kg Charolais from Whitehouse Farm, Lumphanan.
Young bulls (two) averaged 154p (+11p) and sold to 154p per kg and £1,317.50 gross for a 850kg Charolais from Olrig Mains, Castletown, and purchased by C Anderson.
30 to 48 Month - Bullock (one) sold to 148p per kg (+3p) and £1,095.20 gross for a 740kg Simmental from Caskieben, Kinellar.
Heifers (10) averaged 145p (+9p) and sold to 159p per kg for a 695kg Limousin from Caskieben, and a 605kg Charolais from Auchnarrow Farm, Glenlivet and £1,106 gross for a 790kg Hereford from The Neuk, Tarland.
