QUOYBRAE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (April 6th) sold 994 store cattle.

Champion in the show sponsored by W and A Geddes Ltd and judged by David Buchan, Savoch, Longside, Peterhead was a 646kg Limousin bullock from W Barnetson & Sons, Lynegar, Watten and sold for £1,200 to the judge. Reserve from D A Budge, Brae-edge, Castletown was a 650kg Limousin bullock and sold for £1,180 to D Brown, Burnside of Dipple, Fochabers.

Bullocks (570) averaged 189.3p to 243.2p per kg for five 331kg Charolais from D N Campnell & Sons, Bardnaclavan, Bridge of Westfield and £1,240 gross for a 764kg Limousin from D A Budge, Brae-edge, Castletown. 

Heifers (424) averaged 175.5p to 234.2p per kg for a 363kg Charolais from W R & M Mill, Forsie, Bridge of Westfield and £1,060 gross for a 565kg Simmental from H J Taylor, Quoyshakes, Bilbster, Wick.
