THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (January 3rd) 68 prime cattle, and 35 OTM cattle
Prime bullocks (31) averaged 127p and sold to 137p per kg for a 550kg Limousin from Pityot, Bridge of Muchalls, and £998.20 gross for a 805kg Charolais from Caskieben, Kinellar, and purchased by Binghill Limited, Milltimber.
Prime heifers (37) averaged 126.8p and sold to 144p per kg for a 565kg Limousin from Learney Home Farm, Torphins, and purchased by Paul Smith Butchers, Skene, and £831.25 gross for 665kg Charolais from Hillside, Fetternear.
Beef cows (34) averaged 71.93p and sold to 102.2p per kg for a 690kg Simmental from Wester Coull, Tarland and £765 gross for a 895kg Charolais from Killyquharn, New Aberdour.
Heifers (one) sold to 78.8p per kg and £465 gross for a 590kg Shorthorn from Home Farm Leith-hall, Huntly.

New season SQQ up to 45.5kg (396) averaged 94.6p per kg (nc).
