THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (15th February) sold 2,739 store lambs, breeding and feeding sheep.
Store lambs (1510) to £56 for Suffolks from Whitehillock, Craigellachie.
Ewe lambs (31) to £41 for Continentals from Burnside of Cairnton, Fortrie.
Breeding sheep (159) to £46 for Suffolk cross gimmers from Coneyhatch, Stonehaven.
Ewes and lambs (54) to £50 for Continentals from Bogiefeulach, Tornaveen.
Feeding ewes (985) averaged £29.52 (-£1.68) to £69 for Continentals from Hilton of Culsh, New Deer.
"Store lambs again sold very well. Feeding ewes were also an extremely sound trade."

Heifers (507) averaged 143p (+4.8p) to 184.9p per kg for a pen of 219kg Blonde D'Aquitaine from Burnside of Whitefield, Forglen and £855 gross for a 582kg Charolais from Loanhead, Logie Coldstone.
Bulls (24) averaged 114.1p (+1.8p) to 139.1p per kg for a 442kg Simmental from Jameston, Banchory-Devenick and £695 gross for a 554kg Charolais from Leys, Tarland.
Young calves (13) averaged £235 per head and £340 gross.
