THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (25th April) sold store 2,297 cattle and one young calf


Bullocks (1,347) averaged 154.3p (+0.1p) to 206.7p per kg for a 300kg Limousin from Harestone, Crathes and £1180 gross for a 734kg Charolais from Inverichnie, Banff.


Heifers (938) averaged 150.3p (+1p) to 209.8p per kg for a 386kg Charolais from North Bethelnie, Oldmeldrum and £1090 gross for a 704kg Limousin from Woodbank, Drumblade.


Bulls (12) averaged 141.1p (+5.5p) to 177.4p per kg for a 248kg Simmental from Harestone and £830 gross for a 588kg Simmental from Leodibest, Latheron.


Young calves (one) sold to £280.
