2007 Sales Reports

QUOYBRAE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (20th October) sold 104 Texel, Suffolk and Border Leicester rams and ram lambs under the auspices of the Caithness Sheep Breeders Association

Champion Texel a shearling by Stockhill Kasper from R MacKay, Clyth Mains, Lybster sold for £620 to J Munro, Pitkerrie, Fearn.

Reserve was a ram lamb by Miller's Miles from C and I Angus, Oldfield Farm, Thurso and sold for £350 to A Webster, Lower Reiss Farm, Wick.

Champion Suffolk a shearling from B Swanson, East Murkle, Thurso sold for £500 to the judge J Brims, Thuster Mains, Wick.

Reserve was a ram lamb from J Simpson, Pentland View, Barrock and sold for £500 to Messrs Sutherland, Stainland and Sibmister Farms.

Only entry in the Border Leicester section was a shearling from B Swanson, East Murkle and sold for £100 to A and C Cormack, Mid-Keiss, Wick.

Oldfield sold to £650 & £620 for a shearlings and £300 for a ram lamb to average £382 for 10 (£317.69 for 13)

Border Leicester - Top price was £600 for a shearling from D N Campbell and Sons, Bardnaclavan to A & T Rosie, Hunster, Bower.
