PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (15th June) sold 292 store cattle and three young calves.

Bullocks (119) averaged  133.3p (+4.3p) to 163p per kg for a pair of 396kg Simmental from Lyne of Linton, Sauchen, and £775 gross for 670kg Simmental from Burnside, Kintore. 
Heifers (138) averaged 120.8p (-0.3p) to 150p per kg for a 432kg Limousin from Blackpark, Foynesfield, Nairn, and £685 gross for a 592kg Charolais also from Blackpark.
Bulls (35) averaged 111.5p (+18.2p) to 130p per kg for a pair 324kg Limousin from Upper Tomdhu, Knockando, and £628 gross for a 580kg Charolais from Bogincaber, Drumlithie
Young and reared calves (three) averaged £160 per head to £215 gross.

Store and Island lambs (67) to £48 for New season Suffolk from North Dorlaithers, Turriff and New season Texels from Monkshill Croft, Fyvie.
Ewes & lambs (412) to £35.50 for Cheviot gimmers from Craighall, Cairnie.  
Feeding ewes and rams (424) averaged £31.58 (-£0.85) and sold to £56 for Texels from Ashvale Cottage, Cornhill.
