STORE CATTLE - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (8th June) sold 249 store cattle and seven young calves.
Bullocks (90) averaged 129 p (-9.6p) to 181p per kg for a 292kg Belgian Blue from Slack, Wardhouse, and £740 gross for a 556kg Belgian Blue from 27 Carnie Place, Buckpool, and for a 606kg Limousin from Netherton, Glenlivet. 
Heifers (99) averaged 121.1p (-4.2p) to 166p per kg  for a pair of 160kg Blonde D'Aquitaine from Newton Farm, Barras,  and £700 gross for a pair of 540kg Simmental from Netherton.
Bulls (60) averaged 93.3p  to 154p per kg for a 214kg Saler from Whitebog, Fortrose,  and £735 gross for a 680kg Charolais from Airdlin, Ythanbank.
Young and reared calves (seven) averaged £130 per head to £195 gross.

Bullocks sold to 140p per kg for a  430kg Charolais from Stonequoy, Lyness, and £700 for a 550kg Simmental from Stonequoy.
Heifers sold to 132p per kg for a 440kg for a 440kg Charolais from Stonequoy, and £550 for a pair of 517kg Aberdeen-Angus from Stonequoy.

SHEEP - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (8th June) sold 1551 store, breeding and feeding sheep.
Store and Island lambs (183) to £43 for Suffolks from Lost Farm, Strathdon.
Ewes & lambs (365) to £33.50 for Cheviots from Milton of Grange, Forres. 
Feeding ewes and rams (1003) averaged £32.43 (-£3.85) and sold to £59.50 for Suffolks from Muirton of Corse, Alford.
