PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (June 7th) 173 prime cattle, and 218 OTM cattle.

Prime bullocks
(89) averaged 111p (-5.5p) and sold to 133p per kg for a 440kg Limousin from Mossside of Gight, Fyvie, and purchased by Rhinds of Elgin, and £887.50 gross for a 710kg Limousin from Little Clinterty, Kinellar. 
Prime heifers (76) averaged 115.6p (-0.7p) and sold to 139p per kg for a 560kg Limousin from Whiteside, Tullynessle, and purchased by Rhinds of Elgin, and  £805.20 gross for 610kg Limousin from Milton of Campfield, Glassel, and purchased by Woodhead Brothers.
Young bulls (eight) averaged 100p (+19.1p) and sold to 109p per kg for a 730kg Simmental from Mill of Balmaud, King Edward and £857.50 gross for a 875kg Limousin from Shannas, Mintlaw.
Beef cows (171) averaged 79.82p (-3.09p) and sold to 110p per kg for a 680kg Limousin from Hewan, Balfour, and £885 gross for a 920kg Charolais from Bogengarrie, Ardallie. 
Dairy cows
(nine) averaged 59.66p (nc) and sold to 70p per kg and £535 gross for a 765      kg Friesian from Tillymaud Farms, Udny. 
Farrow bulls (12) averaged 67.69p (+11.96p) and sold to 91p per kg for a 815 kg Limousin from North Auchronie, Skene, and £775 gross for a 1,165kg Simmental from Kincraigie Farms, Lumphanan. 
Heifers (16)
averaged 93.38p (+9.54p) and sold to 106.8p per kg and £705 gross for a 660kg Limousin from Hardgate Farm, Bonnykelly.
Steers (10) averaged 84.68p (-0.16p) to 103p per kg and £895 gross for a 870kg Limousin from Mosside of Gight.

averaged 127.1p per kg (+13.4p) and sold to 142p per kg and £62.50 gross for 44kg Continentals from Backhill of Thornton, Bourtie.
Old season lambs (825) averaged 88.4p per kg (+1.2p) and sold to 102p per kg  and £51 gross for 50.8kg Texels from Barnyards of Badenyoucher, Cornhill.
New season SQQ up to 45.5kg (315) averaged 130.8p per kg (+5.3p).
Old season SQQ up to 45.5kg (535) averaged 88.4p per kg (-1.8p).
