PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (July 12th) sold 158 prime cattle, 160 prime and OTM cattle.
Prime bullocks (90) averaged 122.2p (+3.5p) to 136p per kg 615kg Limousin from Darnabo, Fyvie, and £949.75 gross for a 725kg Charolais from Wicker Inn, Banchory. 
Prime heifers (65) averaged 125.9p (-1.9p) to 136p per kg for a 570kg Limousin from Darnabo, and purchased by Rhinds, and £930.10 gross for a 710kg Charolais from Newton of Ballunie, Kettins, and purchased by C Anderson, Dumfries.
Young bulls (three)
averaged 86.7p (-7.0p) to 96p for a 650kg Charolais from Mains of Leask, Slains, and £734.80 for a 835kg Charolais from Chance Inn, Balmedie.
Beef cows (141) averaged 77.71p (1.59p) to 101p per kg for a 675kg and 720kg Aberdeen Angus from Pettycur, Hillside and for a 700kg Belgian Blue from Kirkton, Forglen and £775 gross for a 930kg Aberdeen Angus  from Pettycur.  
Dairy cows (nine) averaged 44.13p (-15.17p) to 61p per kg for a 565kg Friesian from Tillymaud, Udny  and £355 gross for a730kg Friesian from Seafield, Lerwick.
Farrow bulls (four) averaged 43.5p (-14.3p) to 54p per kg for a 925kg Limousin from Muirends Croft, Munlochy and £500 gross for a Charolais from Muirends Croft.
Heifers (four) averaged 93.3p (+16.3p) to 96p per kg for a 565kg Charolais from Kincraigie Farms, Lumphanan and £635 gross for a 670kg Charolais from Brabsterborran Mains, Bower. Bullocks  (six) averaged 82.44p (-5.76p) to 91p per kg for a 810kg Limousin from Moss-side of Gight, Fyvie and for a 760kg Charolais from Mains of Leask, Slains and to £775 gross for a 905kg Charolais from Newton of Ballunie, Kettins.

THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (12th July) sold 487 prime sheep.
New season lambs (469) averaged 123p per kg (+1.5p) and sold to 132p per kg for 44kg Texels from Woodtown, Rothienorman and £59.50 gross for 46kg Suffolks from Muir Farm, Alford and 46kg Texels from South Keithney, Burnhervie.
New season SQQ up to 45.5kg (414) averaged 123.5p per kg (+0.8p).
