breeding, store and feeding sheep.
Store lambs (3225) to £43.80 for Suffolks from Delnabo, Glengairn.
Ewe lambs (206) to £52 for Mules from Shiel, Muir of Fowlis.
Island Sheep (1226) to £60 for a Suffolk ram from Islesburgh,
Sullum. Breeding gimmers and ewes (1071) to £71 for Mule gimmers
from Westerton, Auchleuchries. Breeding rams (116) to £250
for a Texel ram lamb from Bogiefeulach, Tornaveen. Feeding ewes
and rams (1,315) averaged £23.52 (-£5.06) and sold to
£45 for Texels from Bush of Muldearie, Mulben.
"Quality lots of store lambs easily maintained recent rates,
other sorts showing the effects of the weather eased slightly in
price. Breeding sheep were an end of season show and this was reflected
in the trade. Feeding ewes easier."
