THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (3rd October) sold 309 head of adult breeding cattle including 8 bulls.

At the Cassie and Company sponsored show and sale of commercial beef breeding cattle, judges, William and Michael Robertson, Fodderletter Farms, Tomintoul awarded the champion prize to a Simmental heifer with heifer calf from Greenfold, Bridge of Marnoch, which realised £1,500. The reserve champion award went to a Belgian Blue heifer and bull calf realising £2,150 from Greenhaugh, Huntly.
