PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (23 rd November ) sold 127 prime cattle,  prime and 255 OTM cattle.

Prime bullocks (68) averaged 125.16p (-1.54p) and sold to 145p per kg for a 545kg Limousin from Auchmaliddie Mains, Maud, to Rhinds of Elgin Ltd a 540kg Limousin from Greenhaugh, Huntly to Woodhead Brothers, Turriff and £1001 gross for a 770kg Limousin from Learney Home Farm, Torphins. 

Prime heifers (58) averaged 130.11p (+0.31p) and sold to 146p per kg for a 510kg Limousin from Auchmaliddie Mains, to Westend Butchers, Peterhead, and £910 gross for 650kg Limousin from Learney Home Farm, Torphins, to Woodhead Brothers, Turriff.

Beef cows (189) averaged 69.03p (-2.47p) and sold to 110p per kg for a  695kg Charolais from Redbanks, Tankerness and 815£ gross for a 840kg Charolais from Braehead, Drummuir. 

Dairy cows (24) averaged 36.26p (-10.44p) and sold to 60p per kg and £495 gross for a 830kg Friesian from Fairburn, Longmanhill. 

Farrow bulls (15) averaged 63.55p (+22p) and sold to 80p per kg and £915 gross for a 1150kg Charolais from Harestone, Crathes.

Heifers (12)
averaged 86.38p (+9.02p) and sold to 107p per kg for a 595kg Limousin from Greenfold, Bridge of Marnoch and £765 gross for a 735kg Charolais frim Airdlin Mains, Ythanbank.

Steers (15)
averaged 88.3p (+18.46p) to 113p per kg for 650kg Charolais from Balquhindachy, Methlick and £825 gross for a 745kg Charolais from Aldie, Cruden Bay.
