PRIME CATTLE - FULL REPORT
THAINSTONE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (August 24th) sold 103 prime cattle, 175 prime and OTM cattle.

Prime bullocks (48) averaged 127.9p (+5.9p) to 149p per kg for a 565kg Blonde D'Aquitaine from Pityot, Muchalls to Rhinds of Elgin and £993.30 gross for 770kg Charolais from Pityot.

Prime heifers (55) averaged 127.3p (+4.9p) to 150p per kg for a 535kg Limousin from Millhill, Longside to Rhinds of Elgin and £882 gross for a 700kg Charolais from Dalriach, Kemnay.

Beef cows (145) averaged 81.99p (+8.59p) to 115p per kg and £1045 gross for a 910kg Charolais from Chapelpark, Methlick. Dairy cows (17) averaged 63.57p (+10.28p) to 88p per kg for a 620kg Fresian from Corrachie, Avoch and £705 gross for a 890kg Fresian from Fairburn, Longmanhill.

Farrow bulls (7) averaged 54.13p (+8.36p) to 68p per kg and £795 gross for an 1170kg Charolais from Bogloch, Lumphanan. Heifers (9) averaged 74.75p (-3.29p) to 106p per kg and £795 gross for a 750kg Belgian Blue from Whiteside, Tullynessle. Steers (3) averaged 58.21p to 66p per kg and £485 gross for a 735kg Charolais from Invercauld Farm, Braemar.
