Ballot for Prime Cattle will take place at 11:00am

Please ensure that all cattle are delivered to the Centre in adequate time to allow for checking and numbering for the sale.

All cattle must be properly DOUBLE TAGGED and accompanied by the correct passport otherwise they will not be offered for sale.

Prime and Feeding Heifers, Cows and Bulls: Consignors should note that the market is demanding that Prime and Feeding Heifers, Cows and Bulls for slaughter are in a clean or clipped condition.

Prime Sheep: Bellyclipping - Consignors should note that the Prime Lamb Market is clearly demanding the need for bellyclipping. This service is available on the day of sale.

Store Cattle : 50 Crichie Inverurie, 33 Clachan, Mid-Clyth, 30 Leys Castle, 30S Cushnie Rhynie, 25 Mains of Portlethen,  24 Milton Focheil, 20S Westerton Old Rayne.

Grit Ewes : incl Dispersal sale from Mr J Milne Auchorthie Maud of 245 Head comprising 40 HB gmrs, 60 HB 2yrs, 80 HB 3/5yrs all due 20th March onwards. 26 Mule gmrs, 34 Mule 2yrs, all scanned in lamb due 20th March onwards.  HB to Suffolk, Mule to Texel, also 2 Texel and 3 Suffolk rams.

Dispersal sale from Mr A Dent Douglashead Tarves of 140 Chv and Tex/Chv 3 to 6 years ewes scanned in lamb to Logie Durno Hybrid and Chv rams all due 28th March onwards.

Dispersal sale from Messrs D & R Stevenson Cruats Portknockie of 70 Mule ewes 2/3/wm lambing to suffolk ram due Mid March.

From Messrs Henderson Mains of Wardhouse Insch of 120 Suff and Tex cr gimmers to bm ewes scanned lambing March onwards details later.

Part Dispersal  from Burnside of Cairnton Auchnagatt of 12 outwintered cross cows and heifers scanned in calf to Shorthorn bull due April/May ( BVD, Johnes and Lepto neg).
6 Spring calving cows PD to Char bull ( bull in from May till end August) and 3 cows with calves at foot, cows free of bull from Broomhill Dunecht.

Part Dispersal from Overton Ardo Methlick of 8 BB cr cows with Lim cr calves at foot ( BVD screened and vacc).

Weekly consignments for live auction at Thainstone Centre on Thursdays.

Please note: All cattle born after 1st January 1998 MUST be double tagged before leaving holding.

Electronic Sheep Tagging Requirements - 2011

Please note: Prime and all Store Lambs intended for slaughter before 12 months of age only require a single Electronic slaughter tag. Ewe Lambs sold for breeding purposes must be fully EID identified - double tagged with one identifier being Electronic.
