Caithness Livestock Centre, built on the farm of Quoybrae in 1992, is a modern auction mart ideally situated in the centre of Caithness and convenient for both local consignors and buyers from the south.

Caithness enjoys a well-deserved reputation for high quality livestock and the centre attracts buyers from throughout Scotland for its special seasonal shows and sales of store cattle and sheep for which the area is renowned, and monthly sales of store, prime and breeding stock, feeding ewes and rams.

The centre acts as a collection centre out of season for store cattle and sheep destined for Thainstone Centre and offers a range of direct marketing services for prime cattle and sheep to abattoirs throughout the country.

Quoybrae is also an approved centre for the handling of stock destined for the Over Thirty Month Slaughter Scheme.

The centre offers a complete livestock marketing service for Caithness farmers and provides a shop window for quality Caithness beef cattle and sheep.
